Discover the Benefits of OMT/Open House
This week in the office, I saw several patients experiencing varying degrees of musculoskeletal pain in areas such as the neck, lower back, shoulders, hips, and knees. As an osteopathic physician, I am trained in osteopathic manipulative therapy (OMT), which helps correct areas of dysfunction in the body to facilitate recovery and promote healing.
Osteopathic medicine is based on the principle that the body has an inherent ability to heal itself. The musculoskeletal system, consisting of bones, joints, muscles, and tissues, plays a critical role in overall health, and dysfunction can lead to pain, stiffness, and other health issues.
You might be wondering, “What exactly is OMT?” OMT uses a variety of techniques, including stretching, joint mobilization, and soft tissue manipulation, to release tension, improve flexibility, and promote relaxation. It is commonly used for neck and back pain, headaches, sports injuries, arthritis, and carpal tunnel syndrome.
I’m always amazed at how much can be achieved with skilled hands. For example, one patient came in unable to turn their head but regained full range of motion after a single treatment.
OMT is just one of the many ways we personalize care for our patients. If you’d like to learn more, schedule a Meet & Greet here: https://calendly.com/drlarry-hearthstonefamilycare/meet-and-greet?month=2025-07
Also, we’re hosting an Open House this Sunday, September 21, from 1–3 PM at the office in Warrington. Stop by to say hello, see the office, and ask any questions. I’d love to see you there!
